The people of Sydney Australia will be happy to know that they can soon have burritos delivered in just 15 minutes thanks to a new app. The company, called Danny Burrito, has just one obstacle to making your burrito dreams come true.
James Jordan, a former bike courier, started the company but needs more donations on the crowdfunding site Pozible. So far he has managed to raise A$7,500 – A$2,500 short of the A$10,000 goal.
Burritos were chosen specifically for benefit of the people of Sydney. No one else is doing this business so it was a very easy option, as well as a new idea.
The money raised will be used on the amazing canister packaging, hot containers for the bikes, bike courier hiring, app development, website and branding. There is a bonus for those who donate funds. For every A$10 donated you receive a burrito, and for a year’s supply of burritos all you have to do is donate A$1,000. A WHOLE YEAR. You will never go hungry.
Ever the entrepreneur, Jordan plans to cook the burritos in multiple locations throughout Sydney, allowing for easier, faster and wider access to the people of Sydney. Areas include Ultimo, CBD, Pyrmont, Surry Hills and North and South Bondi.
The company swears you piping hot burrito will be delivered to you by bike courier within 15 minutes. Danny Burrito also offers vegetarian burritos which are said to be just as delicious as a normal burrito. The 15 minute delivery system is pretty much guaranteed by their use of multiple kitchens throughout the city, and the bike couriers can cycle to whichever kitchen is closest.
The recipes for these tasty burritos were developed by Megan Yonson, an amazing food blogger, and made fresh and sourced from local ingredients. Flavours include chipotle chicken, chilli con carn’t (vegetarian), pulled pork and braised beef.
More good news – the burrito can be tracked all over the city!
