Just like movies, TV shows, books and any other entertainment avenue, video games are central to the lives of our children. But are we usually concerned about the kind video games that our children watch? Do we just let them play anything that comes along their way without us getting worried about the impact it will have on them?
Most parents are usually ignorant on the games that their children play. This happens in spite of them being aware that the video games that these teens play adversely affect them. There is a correlation between aggressive behavior and the hours that are spent on violent games. In case your child has a problem with aggression and depression, then limiting the game play may be a consideration to make.
Thus, if any of the following violent video games appear on your child’s gift list, do away with them as fast as possible.
Assassin’s Creed 4
It has sexual and blood themes as well as the use of strong language. The Assassin’s Creed games have grown into one of the most popular series in gaming. The overall plot: Desmond, the main character, is connected to a machine that lets him relive the events of his ancestors’ lives. And his ancestors happen to be some of the most notable assassins of all time.
The reception of Assassins Creed IV is magnificent and many people have praised it. But there is a reason as to why it has been rated Mature.
Grand Theft Auto V
Intense violence, blood and gore, nudity, drug abuse and mature humor is what you will expose your child to if they play this video game. Whenever people talk about violent video games, grand Theft Auto does not fail to come into mind.
GTA games encourage the players to steal vehicles. They also support the beating up of civilians destruction in an expensive way.
Son of Rome
The video game has a mature rating because it has intense violence, strong language, sexual content and partial nudity. Son of Rome has great graphics which unfortunately your child will not enjoy because of the violence in it.
You have the option of playing as a Roman warrior, Marius Titus. After you have damaged your opponent to the maximum, you can perform an execution of your choice. This type of vengeance may good for the adults but not the children.
