United Kingdom: World’s e-commerce giant Amazon has withdrawn the sale of Islamic State propaganda Magazine ” Dabiq” from its catalog of books on its official site. The online retailer, sold English copies of the IS magazine Dabiq, which was available on its shopping website under four volumes.
Al-Hayath Media Centre, has been listed as the author of the book on the e-retailer’s website page. Al-Hayath is IS’s media arm focused mainly at the western countries.
Islamic State has been declared a terrorist organization in the United Kindom officially. The sale of the magazine has drawn criticism against Amazon. The Magazine was sold in the paperback format in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. The magazine Dabiq, was described a periodical magazine focusing on the aspects of Unity(tawhid), truth speaking(manhaj), migration(hijra), holy war(Jihad) and Community (Jama’ah).
“Create Space” an Independent Publishing Platform, was named as the publisher of the magazine, am Amazon owned self publishing company. However the product is available for free at some places of the internet, the BBC News reports.
Amazon did not provide any further details on the removal of the magazine from its online stores.
