Delhi Government has decided to use remote sensing and satellite technology in a bid to check illegal building constructions and encroachments in the city. It also formed task forces led by sub-divisional magistrates to stop such activities.
An official said that the government has made this move to stop unauthorized constructions in the city. He also clarified that the government will regularize all the unauthorized colonies in Delhi. “In order to ensure that no unauthorized construction and encroachment takes place in the city, the government has formed task force of SDMs to stop such activities,” the official said.
The official said that the task forces Constituted would look after the encroachments and also book FIR in case of an offense. “We will use the latest techniques to keep a check on any such construction and encroachment by using remote sensing satellite to check and map Delhi for finding out any such construction,” the official said.
Officials can perform aerial photography, manual videography, remote sensing, terrain mapping with the help of remote sensing satellite to check the encroachments in the capital city, the IBN Live reports.
