Bringing a major relief to Yoga guru, Baba Ramdev the Enforcement Directorate (ED), has said in a statement formally, that they have closed the case related to certain monetary transactions reportedly carried out by some health centers overseas.
Overseas Health centers located in Scotland and an ashram in Madagascar allegedly linked to Yoga guru were earlier suspected of illegal transactions. The ED probed into the transactions carried over by these organizations.
However, due to the lack of any prosecutable evidence against the Health institutes the ED has decided to close the case. The ED has also taken assistance from the United Kingdom’s SFO through diplomatic talks during investigation, The Asian Age reports.
During the course of Investigation, it has been found that a Scottish couple of Indian origin has setup a health retreat in scotland in September,2009. It has been later gifted to a trust believed to be of Yoga guru Ramdev. Sources say that there was no violation of the Provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act(Fema), hence that the ED has closed the case.
