Terrorist David Coleman has informed a Mumbai court that ever since his school was bombed by Indian planes, he has lived to hate India. He said that his purpose of joining Lashkar-er-Taiba was to take revenge.
He said that ever since he was a child, his hatred towards India and the Indians has been growing and all he wanted is to cause as much destruction as he can.
The terrorist has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for having taken part in the2008 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that led to the death of 166 people.
“I have hated India because my school was bombed on December 7, 1971 by Indian planes…the school was destroyed and people who worked there died,” Headley added.
The 55-year-old spoke in reference to the India-Pakistan war that took place between Dec 3rd and 16th in 1971. He was around 11 by then.
Headley is a son to a Pakistan father and a mother of American origin. He studied in Pakistan till the age of 16 after which he moved to America. He informed the court that he joined the Lashkar during his deposition in 2002.
Headley recede numerous sites for Mumbai terror attack on a number of visits to the city.
The US authorities arrested him in 2009 where they promised not to sentence him to death if he provided information regarding the terror group.
He has testified for a number of days from a location that has not been disclosed via a video link and he is now undergoing cross-examination.
