KUWAIT: A suicide bomber has blew himself up, on entering a Shia mosque in the Kuwait city. The blast which has killed 13 people marked sadness among the Muslims in the locality, as the incident took place in the holy month of Ramadan.
The ISIS claimed responsibility over the attack. Najd Province, a ISIS affiliated group said in a statement that its militant Abu Suleiman al-Muwahhid, has carried out the suicide bombing as per its orders.
The militant organisation alleged that it has attacked on the mosque in lines with the mosque preaching Shia teachings among the Sunni Muslims. IS, a radical Sunni Muslim group, considers Shias to be heretics, the Times of India reports.
Medical officials said, that at least 13 people were killed and 25 others were hospitalized in the suicide bombing.
The ISIS group Najd province claimed similar attacks in the recent weeks in the Saudi Arabia.
