According to the reports, Ms.Dolly Singh, a National level kabaddi player residing in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh has been assaulted by a gang of 10-12 members for refusing molestation.
A group of men assaulted the Kabaddi player at her home on June 15th, the IBN live reported. It was reported that the group attacked Ms.Dolly Singh and thrashed her severely, for resisting an earlier attempt of molestation.
” Last month when i was at home, Ujala Thakur and Rishi Gandhi have tried to tease me. I have resisted them and then returned to my work. I take coaching at Orai. When i returned home on June 15th, they came to know of my arrival. 10-12 men came at around 6 PM and thrashed me”, Ms.Dolly Singh said.
Dolly Singh alleged that she was assaulted by the group for complaining against them. On the other hand, the Superintendent of Police Sharat Mathur, assured that appropriate action will be taken against the accused and the guilty will be arrested soon.
Uttar Pradesh’s Samajwadi party leader, Ujwal Bhatia, said that an FIR has been registered against the accused and a strict investigation has been ordered, the Huffingtonpost reports.
Dolly Singh was severely beaten and was hospitalized before she has lodged a complaint against the accused. She trains in Delhi and is also a part of the National team.
