Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gilani was issued an arrest warrant by a federal court in Pakistan regarding his alleged involvement in approving and disbursing illicit trade subsidies amounting to millions of rupees to numerous fake companies.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has earlier issued a charge sheet with 12 cases against the Pakistan Peoples party leader Gilani, regarding his involvement in the Multi-million rupees scandal, in the Trade development Authority (TDAP).
Another PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, who was also alleged to be involved in the case, was also served an arrest warrant.
According to the Dawn, the court has earlier issued notices to Fahim and Gilani, to which there was no response. The court has now issued a Non-bailable arrest warrant against the two, directing the police to arrest them immediately and submit them for the hearing on September 10, the Indian Express reports.
