In its official report, the Annual National Economic survey, Pakistan has declared officially that it has suffered an estimated $107 billion or Rs 8.7 trillion due to the terrorism in a period of more than a decade.
The report was released a head before the National budget in the parliament of Pakistan. The report estimated during a period of last fourteen years, Pakistan has incurred direct and indirect losses of about $104 billion. The calculations were made based on the government infrastructure losses, life losses and the damaged properties due to terrorism.
The only positive side in the report is that the figures have decreased since the last few years, as a result of the government trying to halt the Terrorism through Military operations. The document detailed that the losses fell by about 32 per cent during the first nine months to Rs 457.93 billion (USD 4.53 billion) than to Rs 681.68 billion (USD 6.63 billion) in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, The Times of India reports..
