In what could be called a Bad news for the country. The South West Monsoons got delayed in India due to the slow pace of the winds.
The Indian Meteorological department(IMD), said today that the latest south west monsoons movement predict delay of rains. As per the latest estimations, the monsoon winds have reached the Andaman Nicobar islands by May 16th. There after the winds have showed healthy movement forming clouds.
The winds have actively moved towards the Srilanka and passed over the Arabian sea. The Meteorological department estimated that the monsoon winds would hit the Kerala coasts by May 30th. However, the delay has moved the date further, adding for the agony of the farmers, The Times of India reports.
In India monsoons arrive first at the Kerala coast and there after spread through out the Indian regions. The delayed rains not only affects the farmers but also the victims of the heat wave, which has swept through the Indian regions killing 1,700.
