PARIS: Charlie Hebdo, a well known French satirical weekly lands again in new problems with a top cartoonist Renald Luzier, leaving the weekly due to emotional pressures.
The reason for his resignation is believed to be psychological burden after extremists killed his colleagues and divisions over house to use donations from around the world.
Charles Hebdo staff faced a gruesome attack from the extremists over the controversial cartoons over the ISIS, a few months back on Jan 7th.
Luzier lost his dear friends and colleagues in this attack which killed 12 people.
in an interview Tuesday in the daily Liberation he said that the issue is “torture, because the others are no longer there.” He added that he is leaving Hebdo in September, the Economic Times reports.
Mean while, it is learnt that Luzier was also hurt by the disagreement between the editorial staff over the spending of the donations they received from January. The editor and publisher said that a special commission will decide how to use the 4.3 Miliion Euros donation.
