Google has officially launched, its next succession to the present Android OS lollipop. The latest OS is said to replace the present lollipop series. The announcement came at the Annual Developer’s Conference Google 10, Yesterday.
The company has not yet revealed the name of the new stock operating system, which it traditionally names after sweets. However, it detailed a few of the characteristics the new software is going to give off.
In the newly released version, google has changed the app permissions interface. It has changed the interface which details the list of app permissions required at the download page. Instead, the app asks for a particular permission to the user when a feature of the phone is to be used. Making it added security way for the smart phone users.
Google has also added a new feature which knows verified linking i.e., the phone will now know which app to open when a link is clicked, rather than asking a question to the user for the same. Google has also introduced the new Android Pay, making it easy for the in-app purchases. It is on contrast of the Apple way and hence is believed to give a strict competition to the Apple market, The Mirror reports.
On the other hand, Google has also introduced in its new operating system the ability for Finger scanning. It said that it had made it easy for the phone manufacturers to include the new feature. As said by Google, the OS has been given a increased security features and also the all round battery protection.
