Have you laid your hands on the new iPhone 7? This is an upgrade of the much successful iPhone 6 and just like its predecessor, it comes in two breeds: the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As you would expect, it comes with new features and the old ones are improved. Among the changes made in the iPhone 7 is the introduction of a dual lens camera for the bigger version and also the fact that it’s now waterproof. Your iPhone 7 can now stay submerged in water for up to 30 minutes without getting spoilt. The implication is that you can comfortably receive your phone call in that heavy downpour.
But as you ponder about these features, a new credible iPhone 8 Rumour is already out. It is speculated that Apple is working on a big iPhone 8 for 2017.
Whether the new gadget will carry the name iPhone 8, or decide to retain it as iPhone 7s or even be the 10th Anniversary iPhone, the 2017 iPhone will come with an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display and be big as per rumours from MacRumors. This new rumor is based on a Barclays Research that recently made a trip to Asia.
How Big and different?
What is the expected size of the new iPhone 8? Well, a standard size of 5.8 inches is being considered as an upgrade of the current 5.5 inches in iPhone 7 Plus. The new device will also have an OLED display.
As at the moment, it is still quite early to predict the exact features of the iPhone 8 and this makes the size predictions not 100% accurate. But Barclay holds the opinion that Apple may have decide to focus on large screens with curved edges. This may be a way of giving it an edge over the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
