It was the most trusted mobile manufacturer in those days. The brand Nokia strikes our mind whenever we talked of mobile phones, just like Apple and Samsung right now. Unfortunately, the world famous MNC has failed to spot the threat that the likes of Android and Apple had before it. And as we all know, the brand Nokia has effectively died during the years 2007 to 2012.
Though Windows phone took its place, Microsoft was not successful in changing the unlucky curse that Nokia has got with it. A lot has happened since 2007. Apple has proved itself as the leader of the global market while, Android emerged as the powerful platform for new mobile manufacturers, who in turn locked horns against each other, thereby, reducing the pricing of the smartphones greatly.
At last, for everyone’s delight, Nokia will be back into the mobile market through the famous Android platform!. Though the new’s on Nokia’s re-launch surfaced in the social media in the past, there was no confirmation from the company regarding the same.
However, breaking the silence over the most anticipated news, CEO of the Mobile device commodities – Microsoft Asia, Mr James Rutherfoord, has officially confirmed the launch of two new smartphones from Nokia in the Q4 of 2016!
More information has surfaced on Nokia’s Android smartphones this week via a Chinese executive from Beijing. According to him, Nokia will be looking to release at least two smartphones by this year end and will strive to release another high-end smartphone in the first quarter of 2017. Nokia Android Phones are expected to pack in a full metallic body with QHD displays powered by Snapdragon processors.
The two variants of Nokia confirmed to be released in the coming months are rumored to be competitive in pricing, aimed at creating space for itself in the already highly compact global mobile market. And for those, who are dreaming of high-end premium phones from Nokia will have to wait till Q1 2017!
