Samsung ventures have invested in the World’s first eye-tracking virtual reality headset by Fove. The Fove headset uses an innovative technology which can revolutionize the gaming experience. The headset helps the users to focus their eyes on specific areas of a computer game screen and allows the users to operate the game with just their eyes.
The device reached its crowd funding campaign funds target, in just 72 hours after its campaign was launched.
Fove said that the extra investment that they have received will be used for adding some extra functionalities to the headset. The company promised earlier, that it would use the integrating Valve’s Lighthouse technology, if it reached $7,00,000 in funding.
The integrating Valve’s Lighthouse technology is useful to track the position of the headset accurately. The head of the Samsung ventures in Japan Mr.Ik Hyun Lim said, ” It is a good concept to take the gaming experience to the next level. We believe that Fove would roll out the devices soon”. the BBC reports.
Fove hopes that it would complete the devices early and send the units to the software developers by the spring of 2016.
