India’s smartphone market is growing at a faster rate as it gets more complex. Companies are ever lining up to test their strength in the mobile industry. The latest to do so is the Multinational TCL Corporation.
TCL is a China-based company with a staunch reputation in television sets. The company has spread its wings by venturing into the Indian mobile market. Its first release is the TCL 560 Smartphone, priced at Rs. 7,999. Starting Tuesday, prospective customers will acquire the device exclusively through Amazon India.
The biggest feature setting the smartphone apart is its integration of the eye verification technology. The manufacturers say that this makes it possible to unlock the smartphone using the front camera. In efforts to keep off unauthorized users, TCL 560 will only unlock after you verify with your eyes.
What are the specifications?
TCL 560 has a 5.5” HD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor powers this gadget. To top it all, you get 16 gigabytes of internal storage and 2GB RAM to run your smartphone. Don’t worry if the 16 GB is not enough for you. A micro SD expandable slot is provided for up to 32 gigabytes.
The Android-based TCL 560 will operate on the latest Android version, Marshmallow 6.0.
The photo lovers are well catered for by the 8.0 MP rear autofocus camera to capture memorable moments. Your selfies will also not be a disappointment, considering it features a 5.0 front camera.
Switch networks easily
The smartphone is a dual-SIM to make it easy for you to change the networks. The user also gets to benefit from 4G and (voice over LTE). The other options for connectivity are Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G and Micro-USB.
Powering the smartphone is also not a challenge with its 2500mAh removable battery.
During the launch, Regional director TCL India, Praveen Valecha, said that the younger generation in India has a good understanding of technology, considering the ever changing smartphone market. Their target is to always get a unique and advanced smartphone. In addition, India aims at having high standards gadgets whose experience is top notch. Praveen concluded that in order to maintain the legacy of the brand, they will focus on making it a success in the ever evolving Indian market.
TCL said that they are just at the start of a journey that will see more mobile and digital portfolio from the company.
