With America having gone past Super Tuesday and the major thing remaining for the news persons is election stuff, President Obama has started saying his goodbyes to as many Americans as he can. This will be most definitely an emotional send off and for that reason the president has maintained that each person; big, small or Republican will have a heartfelt bon voyage from the commander-in-chief.
A teary eyed Obama said Keith Wilmot in Albion that his duty as the president was to keep the nation united but times he felt that it’s the nation that kept him united. After finishing his seven page goodbye, Mr. Obama took Keith into his arms and hugged him a warm goodbye. He hopes that anytime he looks inside the glasses that the factory has made, he will see a hero so determined to define America in positive grounds. Later on Keith told the reporters that the hug may have restrained him but he felt so free.
Obama insisted that he gives heart shaped chocolates to Wyoming residents. On them there was a note that said “I love you in the same manner that I love each American. On a national average, you may all be bordering obesity, but I know that is just your big hearts pressing down on the scales.”
In Alaska, many citizens are reported to have frozen checks which are due to crying a lot. They shed hot tears which most of them did not dare to wipe away. While in California, the president informed the reporters that some hugs lasted for as long as five minutes full of embracing. Boston is known for being steely grit but the emotional silence of the Bostonians was broken by the president with one quote, “Don’t go Barry. Don’t go into that quiet night.”
As much as there is still a nation to hold close, the president appears to be grateful and determined to face the road that awaits him ahead.
