NEW DELHI: According to a report from the Times of India, various Terrorist organizations including the IS are moving forward with the plans of incorporating a suicide bomber to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Republic Day celebrations. As per the inputs from the IB, Terrorist organizations have been considering children aged 12-15 to create a havoc at the venue.
Terrorists move to deploy children as suicide bombers can be understood from an incident during the last Independence day, where the Prime Minister broke the cordon to meet children eagerly waiting for him. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) feels that the terrorists may use this weakness of the Prime Minister and introduce teen-suicide bombers into the crowd.
The IS has recently released a video which revealed Children being trained to use weapons and other explosives. Sources said that all the major Terrorist organizations including the Ansar-ud Tawhid (AuT), which helps IS expand its base in India, have a troop of teenagers being trained as suicide bombers.
The IB has already communicated the latest development to the Special Protection Group (SPG), which guards the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the other hand, the NIA has directed the Delhi Police to monitor the Kids and teenagers nearing the Redfort on Republic Day.
India celebrates its 67th Republic Day on January 26th and France President Francois Hollande, had been invited to attend the Redfort as the Chief Guest of the Republic Day Parade. As part of its Republic Day celebrations, each year, India invites a head of the foreign country to attend the Republic Day parade as the chief guest. This will be the 5th invitation for France as the Chief Guest of the Republic Day Parade.
