WASHINGTON DC: United States Intelligence chief Mr.James Clapper has said, that they believe China as the leading suspect in the cyber attack on the US Government agency, holding the personal records of the American employees.
Mr.Clapper is the highest-ranking United States official to openly implicate China, since the news of the Cyber attack emerged on June 5th.
The comments of the Intelligence officer comes after the three days high-level meeting with China, in which the bilateral nations have agreed to a “code of conduct’ regarding a few areas of conflict. The Intelligence officer Mr. Clapper in an conference at the Washington DC said, that the China remains the main suspect in the Cyber attack and that the investigation continues.
On the other hand China dismissed all the allegations over the Cyber hacking, terming it as “unscientific”.
On June 5th, the US Office of Personal Management said, that the important personal data belonging to four million employees may have been compromised. Later, Reports emerged prior to the investigations that the victims number may be as high as 14 millions in the Cyber hack.
John Kirby, State department spokes person said, that it has been working with China to maintain a code of conduct, in various issues with the respect to the cyberspace, the BBC reports.
