Arsene Wenger has downplayed an incident in which Jack Wilshere was pictured on a night out the past Sunday.
The 24-year-old has started training after having not played this season due to a broken leg.
Arsene Wenger said that he has spoken to him and informed that the player seemed to have slightly gone out of proportion.
“There was no training session the next day. I had a day off. You can accept players go out.”
The England player is set to be included in the team during the under-21s match that will be held on Friday as he walks into recovery after the August 2015 left leg injury.
“What is positive is that he works very, very hard,” added Wenger. “The news looks quite good. I think he will have a good test on Friday.”
Real football brain
After sustaining a stress fracture in 2011 pre-season, Wilshere’s career has been plagued with ankle as well as leg problems.
In November 2014, his left leg suffered an ankle injury while playing against Manchester United. This made him to undergo two operations.
“At the moment I believe he’s a real football brain, Jack Wilshere. He loves football,” said the Frenchman.
“He’s very serious, very dedicated. The only thing that could stop him from having the career he can make is injuries.
“He had the history of his injuries. It’s been bad recently. But I hope he can get rid of that and make the career he deserves.”
