The Bord of control for cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya, has been admitted into the BM Birla hospital in Kolkata after Dalmiya complained uneasiness on Thursday.
It has been a couple of months since the BCCI president has been reported to be suffering from ill-health. The medical report released by the Doctors said that his health was stable as of now.
Dalmiya,75, took over as the BCCI president from N Srinivasan in March and has been not in good health since then. The BCCI president is currently serving his third term in office. Dalmiya, has been the Chairperson of ICC, held different positions in the BCCI and the Cricket Association of Bengal, in a career started in 1979.
Sources said that there were pressures on the BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya to step down as the BCCI president as he was suffering from ill-health. It was also known that former BCCI president, who was currently cleared as clean by the Supreme court is trying to rope in as the BCCI president for another term in place of Dalmiya, the ESPN reported.
India will play South Africa from October 2nd, in long tour comprising of two T20s, four tests and five ODIs in India.
