Indian batsman Virat Kohli has now climbed up a rank to No.4 in the latest ICC ODI rankings for the batsmen. On the other hand India retained it’s second position in the teams list.
ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan are the other two batsmen from the Indian team to feature in the ICC top ten list. Shikhar Dhawan was ranked at No.7 while Skipper Dhoni at No.9. South African batsmen AB de villiers topped the list with his fine batting display since the recently concluded World Cup 2015.
Coming to the ODI bowlers top ten list, R Ashwin is the only bowler to figure in the table from the Indian side. He was ranked at No.10. The bowlers table was headed by the Australian Mitchell Starc followed by the South African Imran Tahir. Tahir, jumped three places to be ranked at No.2 following his five wickets in the recently concluded series against the New Zealand.
South Africa has also climbed up to No.3 following their 2-1 series win against the New Zealand. In the series between the third and fourth-ranked sides, South Africa had started on 109 points as compared to New Zealand’s 110 points, the Firstpost reports.
