South Africa, has started its 10 weeks campaign in India with a loss with the India-A team posting a comprehensive win by defeating the tourists chasing a competitive 189-3. The win was fashioned by the Indian uncapped players Manan Vohra and Mayank Agarwal, who made a flying start with a partnership of 119-runs in just 12.3 overs. India-A comprised of the young talents across the country apart from the regular eleven.
Vohra hit a 42-ball 56 and Mayank led the way with a 87 off 49 balls which tailored the win for India-A with two balls to spare. Young Batsman Sanju Samson lead the team to a win with an unbeaten 31. The warm up match highlighted the problems South Africa has to face in the coming up lengthy tour.
However, in a critical point of view, the South African Batsmen have led the team to a formidable score. It is the bowlers who have failed to perform up to the mark. Pacers Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris have failed to take a wicket in the warm up match. This can be a result of the South African bowlers failing to adapt to the conditions of the Sub-continent pitches. Fast bowler Abbott proved to be expensive by conceding 43 runs in his four overs, the Cricbuzz reports.
Earlier in the South African innings, Duminy top scored with 32 balls 68 runs, followed by De villiers scoring a 37 off 27 balls. The tourists will play three T20s, five ODIs and four tests against India, in a long tour starting October 2nd.
