Giving a jolt to the Indian fans, Rajiv Shukla said that India- Pakistan cricketing ties may get delayed due to many reasons.
PCB chairman shaharyan khan had recently met the BCCI president and secretary over the revival of India-Pakistan series. Speaking over the meetings, Mr Shukhla said that it has many hurdles. ” As per the MOU[ Memorandum of Understanding] between the two boards, the matches should be played in Pakistan to which the present condition do not allow. Pakistan suggested a neutral venue to which BCCI does not agree” he said.
Rajiv Shukla further added that ” Pakistan also suggested to play in India, but the revenue does not support. It is all in the numbers, which has to be discussed to get a clarity and come to an understanding. Whatever may be the outcome, the ties will go ahead only after the nod of the Government of India”.
India canceled all its Future tour programs, in the wake of Mumbai blasts in 2008. It has only played a single bilateral series in December 2013 since then.
