India cricket team Test Captain Mr. Virat Kohli said that his side should focus more on winning , instead of just learning from each game. He said that the team has got enough experience and its time to play to win.
Virat Kohli, before leaving along with his team to the Bangladesh tour , interacted with the Media in Kolkata. The 26 year old said ” we have had enough of the experience. we have learnt for a long time and its time to start winning games keeping all your experience in to the game”.
The dashing batsmen skipper added ” we have been playing for a long time. We have acquired all the experience and skills through the games we have played in the last few months. Now its time for us to start winning the games. I know that we have to win it as a unit. Its just a mental thing. we want to achieve the results that we strive for and we should not merely get satisfied with the experience we gain after a match”.
This is the first series, though a lone test, which will be played after India lost the four test series to Australia, by 2-0. Kohli has also captained the side for two tests, earlier in the Australia series where he has scored more than 700 runs.
Getting ready as a captain for his first full time series, Kohli said that what they are worried was of a strong mental attitude in the team. He added that the team will be striving for a environment with a positive energy, to win the matches, the ESPN sports reports.
India will play Bangladesh in a lone test and three ODI’s starting from June 10th. BCCI has taken the series prestigious by sending its Ace players to the tour of Bangladesh. Apart from it, the Present Team Director Ravi Shastri’s future contract with the BCCI, will also be decided after the Bangladesh tour. The lone Test match has gathered more importance as the country’s veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh returns to the test side.
