The six- times major winner – Sir Nick Faldo- says that everything is now stacking up against Tiger Wood has he attempts to come back to golf following an injury.
Tiger Wood who lastly took part in golf competition in August last year had planned to participate in Safe way Open which was scheduled to kick off in the course of this week, but he withdrew himself, claiming that his game was “too vulnerable”.
In 2015, the month of September and October, the American 14- time major winner, Tiger Wood had undergone a back surgery.
“It is going to be a hard grind to come back and compete against the best players in the world,” said Briton Faldo, 59.
What is next for Tiger Wood?
On Monday, Faldo confirmed that he was not surprised when Tiger Wood, the world number 786 withdrew himself from the PGA Tour Opener.
Since the year 2013, he has not emerged the winner in the Tour and sits on about 79 victories and three behind the all-time record conducted by Sam, Snead, and a fellow American.
Faldo also said that he wish him well though he still do not know what Tiger Wood want to prove.
“I know personally golf is a wicked game, it dangles a carrot. Ten year ago I would hit balls and think, ‘I can still play, I can still hit it’- then you would go to the course and can’t still make any score. Everything is stacking against him now, both physically and mentally and obviously competing,” added Mr. Faldo.
Tiger wood was the vice-captain of Triumphant Ryder Cup Team in the United States, but according to Faldo, he seemed to be struggling just to get in and out of the golf buggies.
Faldo said that Tiger does not look supple to him as he watches him walk. He also claimed that he knows the stamina that is required to play 72 holes.
Nick also complained that Tiger may have the ability to hit balls on a range but there exist a rhythm to that, since on a course, one should have at least a five minute gap between two shots.
As per his thought, Nick Faldo thinks that Tiger is starting to hit the balls in a better way but he still lack the stamina.
Wood himself has confirmed that he will miss the Turkish Airline Open in November but he said that he may be ready for his foundation’s event in the month of December, that is, the Hero World Challenge.
