China, which is believed to be the World’s largest emitter of “Green House Gases” has been actively working to decrease the emission levels. According to a report from the London School of Economics, China’s Green house gas emissions could decrease in less than ten years. The latest estimation predicts the decrease in the levels of the harmful gases in less than ten years, giving a boost to the Climate protection.
The Progress was said to have come due to China’s Strong policies in the renewable energies. At present China is the largest investor in the sectors of Wind and solar power.
The dragon nation has been working for improving the climate conditions of the country. As a result it has replaced its old, coal plants with the newer ones. The China’s government has also implemented many of the changes in the power generation sector, to assure itself that the chronic air pollutions are decreased.
The authors of the the London School of Economics says that, the United Nations Climate Change conference which is due to be held in the later half of this year, will be more successful with the governments of the world understanding the changes implemented by the China government for the development of the Global climate.
Earlier, China’s President Xi Jinping in a bilateral meeting with the United States has promised to reduce the green house gases by 2030. However, the reports predict good results much before the estimated time, a thing which would make the environmentalists happy.
The authors of the report, Fergus Green and Lord Nicholas Stern opined that, “China has pledged to peak the best stages well before 2030 and we can see the fruits of the efforts put in by them”, the BBC News reports.
It is a well known fact that China and Unites States are two of the most polluting nations, emitting high levels of green house gases.
