Microsoft is forcing people to use its Bing search engine with the Cortana digital assistant in Windows 10.
Each and every google search that is conducted in this manner will also be piped exclusively through its freshly released Edge browser.
In a blogpost , Microsoft has confirmed that it has been making people to use Bing so that they could be able to get the most out of anything that is search related features in its range of products.
However, this implementation by google has met a lot of challenges as many people using Cortana users have preferring to use Google for their internet searches instead of using Bing.
The users of windows will still be at a position to install other internet browsing software’s and also be at the position of using other searching engines outside Cortana, this is according to Ryan Gavin, who is the Head of search in Microsoft and Cortana as source from the blogpost.
However, he said that Edge and Bing were getting improvements and also getting extras, this is aimed at making sense tie these programs to the Cortana but not added to other search engines and also other browsers.
Anything else that will be added will be an experience that is compromised and also at the same time less predictable and also less reliable, the Microsoft’s head of search and Cortana said.
The extra features will be different from each other depending on what things people search for in the internet using the search engine. However, if one searched something like a restaurant using Cortana, the browser would definitely direct or take them to the relevant webpage and also have a map included that will show the closet locations. This is according to Microsoft’s head of search and Cortana Mr. Ryan Gavin.
On the questions based on the technicalities,, the extras would return the usual list of hypothetically helpful pages but would also in tern return video among other explainers, explained Mr. Gavin.
He also said Microsoft was investing in things like “end to end personal search experiences” and they that they are hopeful they would apt a series of actions after the users carried out one search in the search engine.
