A camera captured a man who walked into Apple display shop and started to smash iPhones worth thousands of pounds.
The unidentified man was in dark glasses with a steel ball in his hands that he used to carry out the actions. When implementing his intentions, the man removed the display phones from their holders and smashed them using the steel ball.
According to the footage taken by another customer, the man smashed at least 12 smartphones, before the security personnel challenged him.
Apart from the smartphones, he also turned his anger on a laptop.
“Refused to give me my money”
When the man noticed that he was being filmed, he turned to the amused customer and attempted to justify his actions.
“Apple is a company that violated European consumers’ rights. They refused to reimburse me.
“I told them: ‘Give me my money back’. They said no,” the man said.
He goes on to shout saying “now you are aware of what is happening!” after which he swings his steel ball and crashes another iPhone.
In a different video, the man tried to escape when the security guards tried to handle him.
The police were able to catch him where he was taken to custody.
It is estimated that the damage caused is worth tens of thousands in Euros.
The case is still under investigation.
