Instagram’s latest updates are not only advancing the site’s efficiency but also making photo-sharing a fan moment. There are changes to the filter options that will help you dupe your viewers into believing your images are really great. Just double tap the filter icon to make the relevant adjustments.
This update also comes with features to make changes to warmth, saturation, contrast and brightness, as explained on Instagram’s blog post.
Instagram wrote that it is their intention to inspire creativity and see a growth to its community. In effecting the same, the Internet giant decided to provide a creative way to change how images look and feel.
But these are not the only changes made on Instagram on recent times. There are a number of updates that make your experience memorable.
New Post Look & Updated User Features
Instagram has given its interface a cosmetic update. All non-image content has been shifted to the left hand side of the posts, beneath the header. These include sponsored tags, descriptions and CTAs.
The intention of the update is to make it swift to share posts liked on Instagram. For each post, the username’s right hand icon has a drop down icon which when clicked opens up with options like “Share on Messenger,” and “Share on Facebook.”
The implication is that more Instagram content will get a wider audience, courtesy to the efficiency in sharing it. This essentially leads us to another update…
Just as it is on Facebook, Instagram now permits saving posts which can be accessed later on. Businesses and users will great this news with much enthusiasm because they can now not only share their content but also save it. This will keep users thinking about your brand’s content – after all, one will only save content that they plan to have a look at later on.
If you want your content to have the possibility of being saved, make sure you integrate interesting features like short videos. Make your content to stand out from the rest.
Shoppable Posts (Still being tested)
Instagram’s marketing potential cannot be underestimated but apart from just its Ads, the site hasn’t allowed us to sell directly from it. Several third-party services such as Like2Buy and Have2Have.it have found ways around this. But in some interesting news, Instagram is testing how to make its own posts shoppable.
For iOS – Save Business Stories
Besides saving posts, users now have the ability to save stories.
Numerous businesses have effectively taken up the Instagram stories tool to drive audience for their content. However, stories have their own limitations – they disappear after a set of time and it’s not easy to be shared.
A solution has been developed for this!
You can now save your business stories from the past 24 hours to your camera roll as a single video. This can be re-uploaded on Instagram as a regular post, or uploaded to Facebook and other platforms.
There are more updates set to come later on and we have to keep watch of them.
