Apple has always insisted on developing thin and light laptops but all that is contradicted when compared with its chargers. But do not despair yet because Finsix has provided us with what it terms the “world’s smallest USB-C laptop charger,” which is basically as upgrade of what it had launched last September. This new version is referred to as the Dart-C.
Think of it this way, you have now been presented with an opportunity to have only a single power cord for all your devices – phone, tablet, desktop and laptop, without caring about the manufacturer! Note that it is a genuine universal power cord, reports The Verge.
The ability of the Dart to charge a variety of computers is an appealing idea. But again there is a flip-side to that considering the USB-C chargers comes much smaller than the traditional laptop chargers. Then again, the Dart-C will cost $99.99 which is pricier than Apple’s $79 87W USB-C wall adapter, which by far is the most expensive. In addition, the Dart supplies less power compared to Apple’s advanced adapter.
But again it provides 65 watts—plenty for laptops like the 12- and 13-inch MacBooks, the Lenovo ThinkPad 13, ASUS ZenBook 3, Dell XPS 13, and so on. Other giant laptops such as the 15 inch MacBook Pro that requires over 85 watts. The adapter will work with them except that it will be slow.
Do not cast a cold shower on the Dart yet. It is a small charger, gorgeous and lightweight in addition to its fast speed.
So far orders have begun to poor in and Finsix says they have started the shipping process. However, any orders made from now will not be shipped until March.
For the frequent travelers, this one charger for all your devices will be beneficial, adding to the fact that it is light weight. Your high valued laptop bag will remain safe from damage.
The world’s smallest USB-C laptop charger is obviously the best as well.
