It’s official now. Samsung galaxy S9+ is all set to launch on February 25th. The confirmation came amidst the rumors floating around the launch of the much awaited new power packed smartphone from Samsung. Samsung has officially invited people to its launch putting an end to all speculations.
The new Galaxy S9 will be launched at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. This will not be the first launch for the Samsung gadget at the venue as Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge series have already been launched at the place. The launch is scheduled to start at 6 pm CET on February 25th. A live stream is also arranged by the company.
Samsung’s call for the launch has made it clear that this new phone’s camera will be something to look at. While the ones awaiting the launch have anticipated that Samsung may do significant changes to improve the Camera quality it could also be that Galaxy S9 may have a single lens on the back.

In it’s invitation to the launch for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ it says – “If a picture is worth a thousand words, the latest member of the Galaxy family has a lot to say. On February 25, Samsung Electronics will showcase the next generation of Galaxy devices that reimagines the camera and redefines the way you share your moments.”
What’s not changing is the display which will remain the same 5.8-inch and 6.2-inches Infinity Display. Also, the resolution and aspect ratios will be the same as that of the Galaxy S8. Even the design of the glass and metal will remain unchanged, and for these two features, it will be same as Galaxy S8. The two processors powering this new phone would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor or the Exynos 9810 processor. It is still unsure as to the storage and RAM, but the popular reports say that it will have a 4gb RAM and 6gb RAM for both the phones (S9 & S9+) respectively.
Nothing is changing much on the battery side, and the new phones will have the same batteries and capacity as S8, which was launched last year. The new phone has a more classy design, but that could be evaluated only when it comes to our hands after the launch.
It’s still unclear if the new Samsung galaxy S9+ will have rear-mounted fingerprint scanner
There are unconfirmed reports that suggest that the new phones will have an impressive camera and Samsung’s recent announcements of a 3-stack fast readout camera sensor capable to shoot 1080p videos at 480 frames per second give air to the rumor that the new phones may be equipped with these technologically advanced sensors.
However, if the phones are equipped with this new sensor, it will have some enhanced features and will be great to shoot slow-motion videos. Moreover, this new sensor from Samsung has an awesome low light performance owing to “Tetra cell technology” (Samsung calls it by that name). Giving more details about the camera in New phones are reports that say Galaxy S9+ camera will be 12 MP with wider apertures of f/1.5 and f/2.4 while Galaxy S9 will have f/1.5 variable aperture.
