Sony India, has today launched five new series of Smart Bravia TVs, with the latest Android OS comprising 13 new models with a price tag ranging from Rs.69,900. The televisions are available in different sizes ranging from 43 inches to 75 inches.
All the TVs are powered by the customized Android lollipop 5.0 operating system with Sony UX interface. The newly launched TVs also includes the slimmest LED TV which runs on the Android operating system. The TV that Sony claims to be the thinnest, comes in the 4K LED format.
Sony India’s Bravia head, Mr.Sachin Rai said that the company has chosen the Android platform for their new series of TVs, keeping in mind the fact that over 90% of the Indians use the Android platform.
All the newly released smart TVs supports downloading apps from the playstore and also allows voice web search. The new feature will help users to browse internet with ease on their TVs, the Economic times reports.
The Japanese firm Sony, has also added other features to the newly released Bravia Tvs like the “Serial Abtak”, which helps the user to catch all the serials without missing them. Another notable feature is the “Notify Bravia”, a integrated Sony service exclusive app for uninterrupted TV viewing experience by notifying the customer about a call, SMS, or email.
