Basing on this new information, we should expect Apple to schedule the release around the said date. Something worth noting is that Apple users love Wednesdays.
What is it that you should know about the new iPhone 7? Continue exploring below to learn more.
The Name
Some Apple lovers expect that the next iPhone generation will be named iPhone 7, but some rumors indicate that Apple may do away with its conventional numbered naming pattern. The rumors suggest that the 2016 iPhone will be named iPhone Pro. However this is not yet clear and we will update you when we have full details.
Improved Camera
From the year 2015, Apple introduced better camera with top notch features. Both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have 12-megapixel camera as well as internal improvements which preserve color accuracy and speed up autofocus. 6s Plus came after the 6s having an additional Optical Image Stabilization feature.
The iPhone 7 will still have these feature but improving on them. The camera lens is now enhanced to include powerful sensor. Also, the antenna lines will no longer be across the back. They have been shifted to the top and bottom of the phone.
iPhone 7 Design
Apple is said to have decided to maintain the 4.7 and 5.5 inch screen sizes that it first introduced in the 6s and 6s plus.
The iPhone 7 will be 1mm thinner. This will be achieved through the removal of 3.5mm headphone jack and the implementation of a thinner Lightning port. But the company may as well decide to maintain the usual 6s size.
As you would expect, iPhone 7 will be water resistant and integrate a bezel-less metal body.
Color varieties?
There may be a new color option. Some sources suggest that Apple will avail a “Space Black” shade to the mix. The inspiration for this is drawn from the Apple watch.
Will we have iPhone 7 and iphone 7 Plus?
Apple will continue releasing two versions of each iPhone, so we can expect to see an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus in 2016.
iPhone 7 price
The price will remain the same as the 6s. This is fair, considering that the smallest storage size has been upgraded to 32GB while keeping the prices static.
This means that it will cost you about $649 for storage of 256GB.
But confusion exists on whether customers will be able to get 64GB or 128GB middle option. Some sources are yet to confirm that the 64GB and 128GB will still be sold at the same amount.
Say Goodbye to the Home Key
Leaked images have indicated that the iPhone 7 will have a blank front panel. This indicates that Apple may do away with the home button and focus on an on-screen key.
The pictures were taken in China which have then been making rounds in the internet. Blog post Apple Insider is responsible for having started the circulation.
In conclusion, Apple’s iPhone 7 is highly anticipated and will be received with mixed reaction if it maintains the features highlighted by the leaks. Some users may be disappointed with changes made on the 3.5mm headphone jack but a thinner iPhone is always the best for many.
