It has been months and months of speculation concerning the launching of iPhone 7, but Apple has finally put a stop to all that. The iPhone 7 was unveiled by the company’s CEO, Tim Cook at an Apple event tonight.
One of the striking features announced that night was the ditching of the 3.5 mm jack and the introduction of wireless Bluetooth headphones or the use of wired headphones that plug into the Lighting port – now being used for charging.
Tim Cook also launched the Apple Watch Series Two and just like the iPhone 7, it will have the ability to be water resistant.
What surprised many?
Probably most iPhone users were most surprised by the debut of Super Mario Bros, a three decades old Nintendo game franchise, on the smartphone.
Whereas the Apple shares did not shift much, Nintendo’s US-listed shares went up 29%, with the investors hoping that Super Mario would be another hit game by the Japanese firms linked to the wildly popular Pokemon Go.
