United States Defence Secretary Mr. Ashton Carter on his visit to the Sub-continent nation has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Manohar parrikar and Foreign affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj discussing on various issues of Military co-operation.
Mr.Carter up on meeting officials and ministers, after discussing various things has signed the 2015 frame work for India-US military co-operation agreement. The agreement favours the strengthening of the border military forces in India. Though the US, considers India as one of its allies, India has raised its discomfort with Carter over providing military hardware to the Islamabad.
US has provided the Pakistan military forces with F-16 fighter planes and multimillion dollars hardware in the name of fighting the terrorists in Pakistan. This was not the first time that India has shown its concern over the issue of US financing the Pakistan forces. Earlier, US president Obama, has announced 1 million dollars to Pakistan to aid its military problems and nuclear installations, which was closely followed by India, The Hindu reports.
Earlier G. Sharif of Pakistan addressed a public meeting in Islamabad and said that Pakistan and Kashmir are both inseparable. He also added that he wanted the US resolution of referendum to let the world know that Kashmir wanted to be with Pakistan.
